Do I have to tarp my load?

At the South Dallas County Landfill, the term "SECURED" means loads must be secured in a manner that no debris in the load could have been lost along your route to the landfill. (Driving slowly does not qualify as secured, nor does, "living within the town").  Whether that is a tarp, straps or some other method, you may not litter along the roadway or be a hazard for debris/items coming loose while in route.

The landfill will charge an additional $10 fee for each unsecured load.  The DOT, DNR and State Officials can also charge additional fines and fees.                                                                                                         ____________________________________________________________________________
